Folders 1-23 contain information on his early years: including pocket diaries, his baptismal certificate, notes, examinations, student publications, and alumni information from his prep school, Loomis (Windsor, Conn.). Also included are papers, examinations and his diploma from Harvard, some family notes and clippings about his career, and copies of his obituaries. Folders 25-40 contain information on Walter's father, Walter Charlton Hartridge, Sr., relating to his career and death.
